Circle of light, lit by first fire
Our steps are sacred, swinging dew
From tips of extended Allah on you.
I knew her limits never ceased, bursting reborn with such intricacies.
In tune we move and to no complacent complete.
Blessed to stand over sand between our feet.
This glow gave relaxation our rest assured,
And drums arise, rise heights up and miles to drink the shores.
Uplift the punishment of settled guilt,
Raise the arms, tilt head back, dance, imagine where…
Fire burns to hazel eyes.
Earth and Ra we compromise.
Bodies save the rain from bare aire.
Step to propel our being, seeing infinitely we can
Cry an inner speak of heat through skyward lifted hands
We, indigenous, prolific, exuberate with bright size life
Indifferent, dull specifics from Horus rise to desert night.
Nuit knew it all, our drums recall the spiral kind of calling
Ere we knew we were available to decide.
Uplift the punishment of settled guilt,
Raise the arms, tilt head back, dance, imagine where…
Fire burns to hazel eyes.
Earth and Ra we compromise.
Bodies save the rain from bare aire.
I call all your thunder,
Strike asunder hatred from our place
No judgement by any hues allowed here
By my brother or sister’s face
I say, you can make your own light
Alright, alright if you like.
